Making iPhone and iPad Apps: A Beginner’s Guide

Nashville Convention Center – Rooms 110-111

Friday, November 30, 2012

Session 8 (F31) ~ 9:45 – 10:45

Session 9 (F53) ~ 11:00 – 12:00

The good news is you do not need to know how to write code in Objective C to develop your first app! During this session, you will make a Cliff-Notes like reference app with a quiz to assess learning. You will learn how to use Xcode storyboards to add labels, buttons, images, backgrounds, and navigation to your app. Ways to involve your students in the creation of the app will be highlighted. The presenter will share her experience developing her first apps, selling them in the AppStore, and using them in the classroom to address Common Core standards. Just bring your own Mac and download the latest version of Xcode for free from developer.apple.com. If you are new to app development, come and start making your first app today!
